About Us

History

With the Presidential Decree No. 3119 published in the Official Gazette dated October 23, 2020 and numbered 31283, the Institutes of Social Sciences, Health Sciences and Sciences, which provide education within our University, were united under the name of Hitit University Graduate Education Institute. 

History of closed units: 

Institute of Social Sciences;

Established with the Additional Article 8 of the Law No. 5467 on the Organization of Higher Education Institutions, the Law on the Higher Education Law, the Public Financial Management and Control Law, the Radio Law and the Law on Decrees No. 78 and 190, published in the Official Gazette dated 17.03.2006 and numbered 26111. Hitit University was established under the name of Social Sciences Institute by taking part in the founding law.  

It started education in the spring semester of the 2007-2008 academic year with 15 students admitted to the Department of Business Administration. It gave its first graduates at the end of the 2009-2010 academic year.

Graduate School of Natural and Applied Sciences;

Additional Article 8 of the Law No. 5467 on Organization of Higher Education Institutions, Law on Higher Education Law, Public Financial Management and Control Law, Radio Law and Decree Law No. 78 and 190, published in the Official Gazette dated 17.03.2006 and numbered 26111. Hitit University was established with the name of Science Institute by taking place in the founding law. It started education in 2009-2010 with 24 students enrolled in Biology Master's, Chemical Engineering's Master's and Mechanical Engineering's Master's programs. 

Health Sciences Institute;

The Institute was established with the 1st article of the Law No. 5467 dated March 17, 2006 and the Supplementary article 66 of the Law No. 2547 on the Organization of Higher Education. Nursing Department, Nursing Master's program started education and training in the fall semester of 2016-2017.
